A native and longtime resident of Birmingham, Alabama, Stewart Springer embarked on his career as an attorney after securing his juris doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He has operated his own law firm in Birmingham for more than a quarter of a century. Building upon his considerable expertise in many facets of personal injury and wrongful death law, he has handled cases that range from general slip and falls to workers compensation, product liability, nursing home neglect, and insurance coverage claims. Stewart Springer also carries out a significant amount of work as a divorce attorney.

In addition to achieving winning verdicts and dismissals in the courtroom, Mr. Springer has negotiated multi-million-dollar settlements without litigation. He has also instructed students as a professor of trial skills at the Birmingham School of Law. The Birmingham City Council has awarded him a Citizen Service Medal, and the Council Metropolitan Criminal Justice Executive Association has named him Citizen of the Year.
